Yet another Bexar County jail inmate dies in custody while held on low bond, criminal trespass charge
An inmate held at the Bexar County Jail for nearly half a year on a low level misdemeanor criminal trespassing charge died this month after suffering an apparent medical episode, BCSO officials conceded Friday.

Bexar County Jail inmate dies from apparent COVID-19 complications
SAN ANTONIO โ A 45-year-old Bexar County Jail inmate died Monday from apparent COVID-19 complications, the Bexar County Sheriffโs Office said. According to a news release, Munoz notified jail staff on Jan. 2 that he was experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. The inmate was tested for COVID-19 and was quarantined pending test results. After receiving confirmation later that day of positive results for the virus, Munoz was relocated to the jail infirmary for medical observation and treatment for COVID-19. Munoz was taken to University Hospital on Wednesday after experiencing COVID-19 complications, the news release said.
