Neighbors take matters into their own hands

Crashes keep piling up on Heather Meadow in the Blue Ridge neighborhood — and neighbors say it’s not slowing down. One homeowner, Amanda Ramsey, told KSAT she’s counted 17 crashes in three years, including a recent truck that crashed through a fence, turned around, and took off. KSAT’s Courtney Friedman went back to see what (if anything) is changing — and while the city says concepts like medians, roundabouts and crosswalks are in the works, neighbors want action now (speed bumps, more patrols, more signs).
