Texas just rolled out its massive school voucher program — called TEFA — and more than 20 San Antonio-area school districts, including Northside ISD, Northeast ISD, San Antonio ISD, Comal, and Judson, could see students leaving for private schools. More than $824 million has already been awarded to students statewide. If you're on the waitlist, don't give up yet — there are still roughly 50,000 people in Tier 3 alone waiting for funding to free up. Families who were awarded have until July 15th to confirm they're participating, and if you were denied or want more money, Patty Santos dug into how you have 30 days to file an appeal.
