Mom watches car slam into her daughter's brand-new Mini Cooper — driver takes off

A San Antonio mom and daughter are asking for your help after a hit-and-run driver T-boned their car just one block from their home near downtown. The silver and black Mini Cooper — a surprise birthday gift for 19-year-old— was struck at the intersection of N. St. Mary's and E. Parks Ave. by what the family believes is a dark-colored Toyota Tacoma, possibly a 2016-2020 model. Shannan Hern and Rachel walked away sore but safe. Hannah Gonzales has their story, and the family is urging anyone who saw the crash or recognizes that truck to contact SAPD.
