The radio network that could save your life on the Guadalupe

A Kerrville business owner is spending thousands out of his own pocket to install GMRS radio repeaters along the Guadalupe River — so that if you're ever caught in a flood, you have a way to call for help. It's one of six emergency warning tools now available to anyone along the river, from automated siren towers to real-time water level dashboards. But the Hunt Preservation Society says having the tools isn't enough — people have to actually know about them, train on them, and use them. Vicki Dunn wants every visitor and resident along the river to be ready before the next emergency hits.
