Rabies cases are surging in Bexar County — here's what to watch for

Bexar County is officially in a rabies hot zone — and cases are climbing fast. A child was bitten by a rabid fox while playing outside in Hollywood Park, and so far this year there have already been 29 confirmed cases countywide, up from just 12 in 2024.
