She Lost $2K to a Fake Cop Call — Don't Let This Happen to You

A San Antonio woman is speaking out after losing $2,000 to a terrifyingly convincing phone scam — a caller pretended to be an SAPD officer and told her she had a warrant out for her arrest for missing jury duty. Kathy Bichon says she was told she couldn't hang up, had to go to a 7-Eleven ATM, and ended up sending money through a crypto machine before she realized what was happening. SAPD is now warning the public: they will NEVER call you and demand money over the phone.
