The doctor who gave away her kidney — and got a lifelong friend

Five years ago, Dr. Kelly Hitchman — head of University Health's Transplant Institute — donated her kidney to a complete stranger. This week, that stranger, Joelle Gonzalez, surprised her at work to celebrate what he calls their "fifth kidney anniversary."
