Photo of Harris County deputy resting after spending hours rescuing flood victims goes viral

HOUSTON – A photo of a Harris County deputy sleeping after putting in hours of work rescuing flood victims has gone viral.

The photo was posted by the Texas Sheriff’s Deputies Facebook page.

“This deputy worked 12+ hours thru the night, doing high water rescues. Worked until he couldn't stand anymore. This man and hundreds more just like him are out there, saving Texans! Much respect sir!” Texas Sheriff’s Deputies posted on its Facebook page.

First responders have been working day and night rescuing people from their flooded homes and vehicles.

This touching photo shows a behind-the-scenes look at how much hard work they’ve done so far for Houstonians.
