An arrest affidavit states Gutierrez, who is an employee of The Reservoir bar but was not working at the time, was arguing with two men in the 300 block of North Presa Street after they allegedly had tried to pass counterfeit cash to pay for drinks.

Herrera is accused of shooting Gutierrez when he wouldn't return the counterfeit money.
