Join Casa Guipzot in partnership with Live from the Southside for the first annual Vinos & Tacos Festival on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the beautiful Mitchell Lake Audubon Center.
This unique event aims to celebrate the remarkable wines produced by Mexico from states such as Coahuila, Baja California, Queretaro, Guanajuato and San Luis Potosí while indulging in the mouth-watering flavors of tacos from local food trucks.
The mission of the Vinos y Tacos Festival is to expose and educate San Antonionians about the exceptional wines crafted in Mexico. With a focus on regions making a mark in the wine industry, the event aims to showcase Mexican wines’ rich diversity and quality.
Attendees will be able to explore and appreciate a wide range of wines while gaining insights into the cultural significance and artistry of winemaking in Mexico.
“Our event seeks to promote Mexican wines and provide an enjoyable and educational experience for all attendees, whether a wine enthusiast or novice,” said Salena Guipzot, founder of the Vinos y Tacos Festival and owner of Casa Guipzot, the only Mexican wine shop in the country.
“This is a first for the Southside to have an event celebrating specialty wines and local food at our beautiful wetlands; I hope wine lovers from within the community join us,” April Monterrosa, founder of Live from the Southside, said.
