2 wounded after ex-boyfriend crawls through window, opens fire

Suspect sought in shooting in 5900 block of Cliff Bank Street

SAN ANTONIO – A woman and a man were wounded early Monday morning when the woman's ex-boyfriend crawled through a bedroom window and fired shots at the couple, police said.

San Antonio police responded to the shooting around 2:40 a.m. in the 5900 block of Cliff Bank Street on the far Northwest Side.

According to the a preliminary police report, the suspected shooter and the woman recently broke up and the suspect went to the home and caught the woman in a bedroom with another man.

The suspect began to climb through the window and the other man went to stop the suspect when he noticed a gun.

The man told police he tried to block the suspect with a dresser, but the suspect began to open fire.

The suspect's ex-girlfriend was shot in the hip area and the other man was grazed on the cheek, police said.

The woman was transported to University Hospital and the man was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The report stated the suspect fled in a silver Lincoln Town Car. The suspect had not been arrested as of 9 a.m.
