SAPD: Human remains found at Brooks City-Base

SAN ANTONIO – Skeletal remains were found Friday at Brooks City-Base.

Officer Douglas Greene, of the San Antonio Police Department, said a company surveying the area found the remains in a shallow grave around noon.

Some clothing was found but police officials couldn't determine if the victim was male or female.

"At this point we don't know who this person or exactly what happened, but we're treating this as a homicide until proven otherwise," Greene said.

Some bones were spread throughout the area, but it's believed a wild animal did that.

Police don't know how long the remains had been there.
