Couple charged with operating meth lab

Police: Strong chemical odors emitting from home

KERRVILLE, TX – A man and woman have been charged with operating a meth lab which was discovered by police during a drug bust in Kerrville on Dec. 30.

Erika Sosa and Jarod Sims are charged with possession and/or transport of chemicals with intent to manufacture.

Authorities responded to a disturbance call in the 1100 block of Main Street Dec. 30 and discovered a meth lab operating inside a bathroom, police said.

When officers arrived at the residence they said a strong chemical odor was coming from the home.

Inside the home, police said they found several components of what appeared to be a methamphetamine lab. 

The Special Crimes Unit and the Kerrville Fire Department were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.

Kerr County Animal Control was also called to remove a rattlesnake from the home.
