SAN ANTONIO – The second of two brothers accused in what once was a capital murder case pleaded guilty Friday to charges of possession of child pornography.

Conrad Ochoa and his brother Baron were originally charged with capital murder in the deaths of Conrad’s daughter, her mother and a family friend in 2011.The bodies of all three victims were found inside the woman’s home, which had been set on fire.  All had been stabbed to death.

Earlier this month Baron Ochoa pleaded guilty to charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child and sexual performance by a child. His plea deal calls for a 55-year sentence on each of three counts. As she reviewed the plea deal 290th District Court Judge Melisa Skinner addressed Ochoa with regard to the capital murder charges.

“You could still possibly be prosecuted in the future for the capital murder charges,” Judge Skinner said. “That is not part of this plea agreement that those capital murder charges would be barred from prosecution.”

Ochoa’s plea agreement calls for a 10-year prison sentence.
