SAPD: 1 man shot dead, 2 women stabbed in West Side home

Women were taken to University Hospital in critical condition

SAN ANTONIO – One man is dead and two women are in critical condition after being shot and stabbed in a West Side home, San Antonio police said Friday.

The incident was reported just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3800 block of Sherril Brook Road near Bandera Road.

San Antonio police said when they arrived they found the door had been breached and a man shot to death, as well as two women each shot and stabbed in various places in the home.

The women were taken to University Hospital in critical condition. A detective at the scene told KSAT 12 the two women, one in her 50s, the other in her 30s, may be mother and daughter. The man killed was in his 40s.

There is no word yet on a motive.

Police said the victims have been tentatively identified but have no suspects at this time. Police said they are asking people to call the homicide department at 207-7635 if they have any information.
