Man who escaped from SA State Hospital captured Gary Charles Ligon, 62, was found by SA police Tuesday morning No description found
SAN ANTONIO – A 62-year-old man who walked away from the San Antonio State Hospital has been captured by San Antonio police, officials said.
A police spokeswoman said Gary Charles Ligon was found in the 8200 block of City Base Landing on the city's South Side Tuesday morning.
Ligon was being taken back to the hospital, officials said.
He escaped from the State Hospital on Sunday, the Hill Country Community Journal reported.
Ligon was hospitalized there after he was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder and dismemberment of his wife, Becky, in Kerr County in 1989.
