3 dead, 1 hospitalized in pickup, charter bus crash in Cibolo

CIBOLO, Texas – Cibolo police said three people are dead and one other was hospitalized after a crash involving a bus and pickup truck in Cibolo in the 8000 block of Interstate 10, near FM 465.

The pickup was eastbound on I-10 about 4:25 a.m. Saturday when it veered into the median and collided with a commercial passenger bus in the westbound lanes.

Police said the driver and two passengers in the pickup were all ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. And the bus driver was taken to a hospital in stable condition by emergency medical services.

There were no passengers on the commercial bus at the time of the crash.

Police identified the people in the pickup as 43-year-old Gloria Gonzales of Seguin, 34-year-old Matthew Williams of Seguin and 26-year-old John Gonzales of San Antonio.

The crash remains under investigation. Police said it is unknown why the vehicle veered into the westbound lanes.
