Car crashes into home on Northeast Side

SAN ANTONIO – A homeowner on the Northeast Side has some major damage to deal with after their home was hit by a car Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. near Twin Lake Drive and Lakebend East Drive.

The granddaughter of the woman renting the house said the car hit the bedroom in front of the home and took out the air conditioning unit.

No one was in the room where the crash happened, but the 81-year old woman was in the next room over.

Damage to the home was reportedly bad enough that it's unlivable until some repairs can be made.

There were no injuries inside the house or the car. The crash is under investigation.
