2 hospitalized after East Side shooting

Shooting reported in 100 block of Spriggsdale

SAN ANTONIO – Two people were hospitalized after a shooting on the city’s East Side, police said.

The shooting was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Spriggsdale.

An official at the scene said a black Hyundai Elantra drove in front of a store and started firing shots. A red pickup in the store’s parking lot returned fire at the Elantra.

Two people at the store were injured. It’s unclear if they were with the people in any of the vehicles.

Police said the two injured are being uncooperative and are expected to be OK.
