Poth Police Chief Gerald Sanchez told KSAT in June that Toscano was friends with the couple.

Neighbors said there had been "trouble" at the couple's home before. Sanchez confirmed the June 10 murder was not the first time police were called to their home.

“We’ve been to this house a few times, yes,” Sanchez said. “But nothing for domestic violence or anything, but we’ve gotten minor calls to this residence before."

Investigators did not share a motive in the killing.
