LEON VALLEY, Texas – A male between 16 and 20 years old was shot to death Thursday night in Leon Valley, Police Chief Joseph Salvaggio said.
Rudy Trevino said he was taking out the trash in the 5400 block of Prentiss Drive around 10:15 p.m. when he saw the shooting victim struggling to walk.
"My son was out here trying to help me, he was the one that was holding him," Trevino said.
The victim was taken to University Hospital where he died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
Salvaggio said the victim was arguing with the driver in a car about a mile away at Evers Road and Forest Moss Street when the driver opened fire.
The victim then ran and/or walked to Prentiss Drive, Salvaggio said.
No arrests have been and a motive has not been established.
