SAN ANTONIO – Felix Vera, 31, was arrested on suspicion of family assault choking and strangulation and child endangerment following an incident with his ex-girlfriend.
According to an arrest affidavit, on June 15, Vera choked his then-girlfriend during an argument while she was holding the couple's 8-month-old daughter.
The woman nearly passed out and fell backwards and the infant hit her head on a counter and started crying, according to the affidavit.
Authorities said Vera threw the 8-month-old on the floor before punching the woman, causing her right eye to become swollen shut.
