Highway reopens after 18-wheeler crash, cargo spill on I-37

Crash occurred around 10:45 p.m. Thursday near Loop 1604

Emergency crews worked overnight to cleanup spilled cargo following an 18-wheeler crash on I-37 late Thursday night.

The crash occurred around 10:45 p.m. near Loop 1604.

It is unclear exactly how the accident occurred, but authorities said there were no injuries.

The crash did, however, involve a second vehicle.

The overturned trailer was loaded with cases of non-perishable type food, headed for restaurants, officials said. A crew placed the food into a new truck.

The highway was shut down as crews worked to upright the truck. Officials opened the highway just before 7 a.m.
