Police arrest man in September triple homicides

SAN ANTONIO – A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with capital murder Wednesday in connection with the shooting deaths of three roommates at a North Side apartment.

Jacob Brownson was arrested in the Bexar County Jail, where he has been held since Oct. 11 on an unrelated charge, police said.

Anthony Rodrigues, 24, Pedro Garcia, Jr., 21, and Matthew Martinez, 22, were found fatally wounded Sept. 27 at La Paloma Apartments at 102 W. Rampart Drive.

Police Chief William McManus said a passerby saw two of the men lying on the floor of their unit through a sliding door. When entered the unit, they found the third victim.

A motive for the deaths has not been released.
