Woman shot in NE Bexar County apartment parking lot, BCSO says

Deputies called to Legends at Kitty Hawk Apartment Homes

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating following a shooting that wounded a woman on Thursday morning.

Deputies were called to the Legends at Kitty Hawk Apartment Homes in the 7500 block of Kitty Hawk Road near O’Connor Road after receiving reports that a person was shot.

According to Sgt. John Mahon with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, a female passenger of a car was shot by an unknown male suspect outside the vehicle, in the parking lot.

Mahon said the driver and the wounded passenger drove from the parking lot to a nearby neighborhood across the street where they called for help.

Mahon said that bullet holes were seen in the windshield and shell casings were found at one of the crime scenes.

Deputies are still looking for the shooter who ran off after the incident.

The victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital where she’s expected to recover, Mahon said. A name and age for the victim were not immediately available.

The suspect was said to be dressed in black and wearing a hospital mask, BCSO said.
