Reward increased in case of 19-year-old slain on his birthday

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Crime Stoppers has increased the reward for information in the murder of Jacob Perales.

Perales was found fatally shot in the head shortly before 3 a.m. on Aug. 31, 2016, in the middle of Piedmont Avenue near Ada Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, family members were attempting to save him, but he was already dead.

Police said a small amount of apparent marijuana was found near his body.

Five years later, no one has been arrested for his death.

Crime Stoppers is willing to pay up to $20,000 for information leading to an arrest.
