The family-friendly “fun run” will start at 6:30 p.m. and take place on the actual 2.5-mile parade route, meaning parade-goers will be there to cheer on runners.

This is the first time the event will take place in person since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Spurs Give said in a news release on Monday.

Registration is open to the public from now through April 9. Registration is $45 per runner through April 8 and $50 on the day of the event.

Registration includes a shirt, medal, race bib, race day packet with giveaways, discounted parking at Frost Tower and surrounding Weston Urban parking lots, and access to a post-race watch party.

The party will take place at Legacy Park, and participants will get food and drink specials.

Proceeds from the event will go to Spurs Give, the Spurs’ official nonprofit organization that helps San Antonio’s youth.
