Interstate 10 reopens on Northwest Side after 6-vehicle crash

SAN ANTONIO – A portion of Interstate 10 on the Northwest Side reopened Monday afternoon following a major accident involving six vehicles.

San Antonio police closed the eastbound lanes near Woodlawn Avenue and Culebra Road after a crash involving six vehicles. Firefighters reported the incident as a vehicle extraction.

No one was killed and any injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening, according to SAPD.

Images from the scene showed that the crash involved an 18-wheeler.

SAPD is asking drivers to find an alternate route.

“Please remember to allow yourself extra time to arrive to your destination safely, under raining weather conditions,” SAPD said in a Facebook post.
