A police helicopter flew overhead and confirmed Bringier was outside with a rifle and reported that he appeared to be agitated. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been identified by police. For the second time in four months, a local pet owner found her dog playing with a venomous coral snake in her backyard on the Northwest Side near Leon Valley. In July, Gloria St. Mary found her pit bull terrier King Kong playing with an 18-inch coral snake in his mouth. On Monday, St. Mary said she and her husband discovered King Kong playing with a coral snake again. Recently, St. Mary said King Kong has been "looking for something" in their backyard deck more than usual. According to TPWD, the Leon Valley area has a cluster of coral snakes that hide along trails and creeks near Cathedral Rock Park.
