A California-established winery is expanding to Fredericksburg

Halter Ranch Winery plans to start building a $5M Fredericksburg facility on Dec. 1

A new wine-tasting facility is setting down roots in Fredericksburg.

Halter Ranch Winery is expected to start construction on Dec.1, but won’t be completed till 2024, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.

The California-based winery has a “rich history and is committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship,” according to its website.

The facility will be located at 8561 E. US Highway 290 and is expected to cost $5 million.

The soon-to-be 16,900-square-foot Fredericksburg location will have a wine-tasting facility, a separate storage building, a well building and two homes for the owner, according to the filing.
