Woman bitten in face by dog at far West Side home, BCSO says
Police lights (WDIV)BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A 74-year-old woman was bitten in the face by a family dog, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to a home in the 11000 block of Durango Eagle on the far West Side just before 10:30 a.m. Monday.
The dog — believed to be a boxer pit bull mix — attacked the woman in the living room, biting her in the face, according to a report from BCSO.
The woman was transported to a local hospital with a severe bite wound to her face, officials said.
A Public Information Officer for Bexar County said the dog involved in the attack was voluntarily surrendered by its family.
