Niño is reportedly the third female hitwoman to take on "La Flaca" nickname. The other two women were jailed for their alleged ties to the Mexican drug cartels.

Niño became well known when a picture of her smiling while holding an assault rifle began to circulate on social media.

She was also wearing a Kevlar jacket and displayed a tattoo saying 'Nino' on her forearm.

According to the Borderland Beat, an abandoned truck with three coolers was located in Matamoros over the weekend.

Pictures of alleged human remains inside the cooler show Niño's distinctive tattoo. She was believed to be in her early 20s.
