SAN ANTONIO - National Walk to School Day is Wednesday, Oct. 10 and Vision Zero wants to make sure everyone is safe in our growing community.
"We believe that we can reduce all traffic deaths in our city down to zero," said Paul Berry, chief communications officer, City of San Antonio Transportation & Capital Improvements. "Approximately two pedestrians are killed each day on our streets."
Vision Zero is San Antonio's plan designed to eliminate traffic fatalities and to enhance the safety of our transportation system.
"We want to get people back out on the sidewalks walking to school or on their bikes," Berry said.
