SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs hosted media day on Monday as they prepare for the start of the 2024 training camp.
Fans will get their first look at new guard Chris Paul in the team’s signature silver and black while also hearing how the Spurs geared up during the off-season for Victor Wembanyama’s second year in the league.
The Spurs will have 21 players on their training camp roster. The Silver and Black returns 13 players from last season and features seven of San Antonio’s first-round draft picks from the last six seasons, as well as four offseason additions.
Head coach Gregg Popovich returns to the helm of the Spurs for the 29th straight season as San Antonio begins training camp on Tuesday at the Victory Capital Performance Center.
The Silver and Black will open the 2024-25 preseason with a three-game homestand, beginning Oct. 7 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, before hitting the road for two games to wrap up the preseason schedule.
For the second consecutive season, the Spurs will open the regular season against intrastate opponent Dallas Mavericks when they tip off at American Airlines Center in Dallas on Thursday, Oct. 24.
