SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili announced via Twitter Wednesday morning that he will return to the team for a 16th season.
Speculation was rampant Tuesday after ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski released a report saying the team and Ginobili were finalizing an agreement.

Previously Ginobili has said he would return to the Spurs for another season if he felt he could contribute and help the team win games.
Ginobili averaged career lows in points and minutes played during the regular season, but saw a resurgence in his play during the Spurs recent playoff run when averaged 13.8 points and 2.8 assists per game during the San Antonio's series against Golden State in the Western Conference Finals.
Ginobili has won four NBA championships with the Spurs and is a three-time NBA All-Star.
