Kemba Walker became the seventh NBA player with a triple-double on Christmas, and the New York Knicks beat the depleted Atlanta Hawks 101-87 for their first win on the holiday in a decade.

Spurs hold off Kings 113-104 to end five-game slide

Dejounte Murray scored 10 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Sacramento Kings 113-104 to end a five-game losing streak and strengthen their hold on the final playoff spot in the West.

Also-ran Kings beat contending Mavs 111-99 to finish sweep

Buddy Hield scored 27 points, Marvin Bagley III had 23 points and nine rebounds and Sacramento beat Dallas 111-99, giving the also-ran Kings a season sweep of the playoff-contending Mavericks.

Spurs beat Sacramento 120-105, end Kingsโ€™ 5-game win streak

Derrick White added 18 points, Rudy Gay had 16 and Jakob Poeltl finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds for San Antonio. San Antonio held Sacramento to 53 points in the first half after allowing 41 points in the second quarter Monday. AdSpurs: C Gorgui Dieng was injured in his San Antonio debut on his initial drive to the basket with the team.

Harden, Griffin help Nets hold off Pistons 113-111

The person spoketo The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Thursday because the trade had not been announced. The 6-foot-5 Wright has averaged 10.4 points a game this season for the rebuilding Pistons. He has spent the past season and a half with the Kings.

The Lakers committed a season-high 23 turnovers, blew a 17-point lead and wasted several chances to win in regulation. โ€œThereโ€™s so many learning situations for young players and our guys to play against a great team like the Lakers. Lakers: Vogel got a technical foul in the second quarter for arguing about a blocking call on Marc Gasol.

Embiid hits late free throws, 76ers beat Pistons 114-110

(AP Photo/Carlos Osorio)DETROIT โ€“ Joel Embiid had 33 points and 14 rebounds, and his two free throws with 7.2 seconds left helped the Philadelphia 76ers seal a 114-110 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. Ben Simmons added 20 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the 76ers, and he made a couple big free throws of his own in the final minute. Detroit trailed 110-108 after Jerami Grant made a 3-pointer with 28.5 seconds left, but Simmons calmly made two free throws to push the lead to four. โ€œEspecially late game.โ€Delon Wright's layup made it 112-110, but Embiid closed the game out with his free throws and finished 12 of 17 from the line. โ€œJust having that confidence to knock those free throws down in a close game is big right now," teammate Tobias Harris said.
