An Eagle Pass man was sentenced to 14 years and two months in prison for his role in a human smuggling operation, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) said.

A former Veterans Affairs contracting official from San Antonio was sentenced to four years probation and six months of home detention related to a bribery case.
