Burger King is announcing its work to help address a core industry challenge: the environmental impact of beef. By tweaking their diet, Burger King said Tuesday that it believes it can reduce a cows' daily methane emissions by about 33%. Of that amount, methane emissions from livestock (called enteric fermentation) comprised more than a quarter of the emissions from the agriculture sector. U.S. State Dept tracks 60 U.S. citizens in Japan following coronavirus outbreak

REUTERS/Stephen LamWASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department said on Monday it is tracking the condition of 60 U.S. citizens in Japan after more than 300 Americans were repatriated from a cruise ship that had the largest cluster of coronavirus cases outside China. Out of the 300 Americans, 14 tested positive during repatriation and were exposed to other passengers for about 40 minutes during the process, a State Department official said. These 14 people were later isolated in specialized containment areas aboard two chartered jets that flew to U.S. military bases.

Newborns left behind building; 1 dead, another hospitalized

(CNN) - Police are investigating the death of a newborn who may have been delivered and left behind a business in Fairfield, California. Fairfield police officers responded Tuesday evening to a call about a woman who seemed to have just given birth to two infants. "This infant was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition at this time," police said. Police searched the surrounding area and found a woman nearby who appeared to have recently given birth. She was detained and taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
