County housing director reprimanded for improper use of credit card months before she resigned
Months before resigning as director of the Housing Authority of Bexar County, Tammye Trevino received a formal reprimand for repeated improper use of an agency credit card, according to records obtained this week by the KSAT 12 Defenders.
Bexar County housing director resigns, marking latest shakeup in agency
The interim director, Terry Trevino, took over Monday. The program was put in place in early 2020 to help Bexar County residents whose incomes were negatively impacted by the pandemic. Tammye Trevino was appointed interim director of HABC in 2017, after the previous director resigned amid questions about the day-to-day operations of the agency. Tammye Trevino later paid $9,789.95 back to the agency, records show. HABCโs board later removed Tammye Trevinoโs interim tag and named her permanent executive director.

The Temporary Rental Assistance Measure (TRAM) was introduced earlier this year and provides between one and six months of rental assistance to residents whose income has been negatively impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The county and HABC originally entered into a $2.6 million agreement in May to use general funds for the rental assistance program. Despite being approved for the county program earlier this year, Yarbourgh is now facing eviction. A complaint from Yarbrough recorded by county staff reads, โI am being thrown out of my home. Another TRAM applicant complaint fielded by county staff reads, โYou keep asking for stuff I have submitted already 4 times to the TRAM folder.
