HUD Secretary Scott Turner visited San Antonio to highlight affordable housing efforts, including The Baltazar, a new development for families on the city's northwest side. He also discussed affordable housing costs, regulations and homeownership initiatives.

District 2 Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez is working to make homeownership more accessible and affordable for teachers and school personnel and has filed a Council Consideration Request to establish a program with that goal in mind.
