More than a year after floodwaters destroyed her Hill Country salon, AJ Nelson has reopened Vintage Hair Co. in the same Ingram location — even after another flood in July brought water back to her family’s property.

A 35-year-old man drowned at Ingram Dam despite an attempted rescue by two teen witnesses, according to the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office.
