Juneteenth celebrations have been scaled back this year due to funding shortfalls as companies and municipalities across the country reconsider their support for diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Bird feeders serve many purposes in people’s backyards. Some families like the way they look, and others enjoy watching what kind of birds they can attract.But in an urban area like San Antonio, does using them help or hurt the bird population in our city?

The South Texas Alliance for Orphans is raising awareness for the fostering crisis in San Antonio and our surrounding counties.

People all over the area are preparing for colder days ahead. Some, though, are not happy about the wintry weather.

Six extremely rare, rough-footed mud turtles that were found critically imperiled near Marfa in 2018 have been released back into the Texas wild.

Advocates in Bexar County are calling on community volunteers to help foster families who need breaks and extra support.

Right now, 43 Bexar County foster children are sleeping in offices or hotel rooms because they have no where else to go. A local restaurant group is joining South Texas Alliance for Orphans to pull in donations for them.
