Edna Police Chief Rick Boone told the Victoria Advocate that he is “100% confident” Romero killed Medina and that “he confessed to the crime.”

Rafael Govea Romero was arrested on Saturday and charged with the capital murder of Lizbeth Medina, a 16-year-old cheerleader from Edna, Texas.

Lizbeth Medina, 16, was found dead on Tuesday evening in her bathtub.
