The San Marcos City Council voted Tuesday to prohibit data centers in all city zoning districts after months of public discussion about the potential impacts of data center development on the community.

Protestors from San Antonio, Austin and San Marcos gathered outside San Marcos City Hall on Tuesday to voice their concerns over the development of a new film production studio.

Hill Country Studios would be one of the largest film studios in the country.
