Just down the street from the St. Mary’s Strip is San Antonio police’s newest substation. On Saturday, the department showed off its new facility to its new neighbors.

More police presence is coming to one of San Antonio’s fastest-growing areas in the heart of the city.

Bravo walked the popular strip on Wednesday with City Manager Erik Walsh, the project manager from SpawGlass and City of San Antonio Public Works inspectors, according to a release from Bravo’s office.

Ongoing construction on the St. Mary’s Strip is driving customers away, and business owners say they don’t know how much longer they can operate in the current condition.
