The City of San Antonio has approved a rezoning request from a Tobin Hill-based investment firm for a redevelopment project along the St. Mary’s Strip.

A sprawling mixed-use development targeted for the Southeast Side is moving forward.

While the San Antonio Zoning Commission voted against a proposed buffer zone around the Toyota plant on the South Side, one thing was made clear: City Council will have the final say.

The Zoning Commission on Tuesday lent its support to a proposed 79-unit tiny home development on the city’s South Side. The one- and two-story properties would rise at 1471 and 1477 West Villaret Blvd. and 1487 Malley Blvd., across the road from Palo Alto College.
