One street drop, one street honor — SA City Council has two big votes coming

San Antonio is officially moving forward with two street name changes. César Chávez Boulevard — renamed from Durango Boulevard back in 2011 — could be getting its original name back after serious sexual abuse allegations surfaced against the labor icon. The city held a survey and the community has spoken. Meanwhile, a short stretch near I-35 could be renamed to honor SA's own Willie Mitchell — a Wheatley High grad who went on to play in two Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs and later gave back to the city that raised him. KSAT's Garrett Brnger has the full story, including what comes next before City Council makes the final call in August — and what the name changes could actually cost you. #SanAntonio #CesarChavez #DurangoBlvd #KansasCityChiefs #SANews
