A San Antonio record store since 1972 is fighting to stay open
A San Antonio record store that's been spinning vinyl since 1972 has been locked out — and the owner says a crushing rent hike is to blame. Roman Cuellar says his monthly rent jumped from $2,200 to more than $4,100 over the years, and he now owes $16,000 to his landlord. Flip Side Record Parlor on SW Military Drive means everything to the South Side community — and to Cuellar, who runs it in honor of his late sister. Cuellar is asking for help from the community to get the doors back open. Reporter Alexis Scott has the full story — and what longtime customers are saying about losing a piece of San Antonio's soul. #FlipSideRecords #SanAntonio #VinylCommunity #SupportLocalSA #RecordStore
