San Antonio Girl Scout troop sells thousands of cookie boxes to earn dream trip to NYC

How many boxes of thin mints do you think it takes to pay an entire troop's way to NYC?  A group of San Antonio Girl Scouts is getting ready to trade cookie booths for Broadway and historic landmarks after spending years working toward that shared goal. Eleven girls from Girl Scout Troop 702 are in New York City on a trip they funded largely through Girl Scout cookie sales. The troop has spent the past three years working toward the experience, selling about 8,000 boxes of cookies each year.
